An afternoon of ‘Fun with Traditional Games’ was organised for around 400 children from Vidiyal last Sunday, 10th September. The success of the event was reported by The Times of India the next day.
You are invited to our 30th annual curry evening on Saturday 14th October at Capel St Mary Methodist Church from 7pm for a 7:30 start.
If you would like to attend this event please contact Brenda Sturgeon on 01473 310125 or sturgeons71@gmail.com by Friday 22nd September. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Two people who visited Vidiyal for the first time earlier this year will speak about their experiences.
It is with great sadness that we have to let you know of the recent passing of Neville Cooper, the founder of NewDawn India. Neville began the charity in 1990 and has remained a trustee since then. His wisdom will be very much missed by the other trustees and also by Jim, Sharmila and the team at Vidiyal.
What very good day!
Miles completed, total approaching £5000 and England beat Germany in the football.
Thanks to all of you who have sent messages to your sponsor children, the team in Madurai and to me.
What can we do now? I hope this will have encouraged you to be in touch with your sponsor children. A quick postcard is so appreciated.
I will keep the JustGiving page open for a while. You may have been waiting to see if I finished the task before parting with money!
I have one final piece of news for you……
I have been selected for the GB Olympic cycling team in Tokyo….
Or maybe not!!
